It has been a hectic last two weeks and I’ve just finished a card to share with you! The card is based on this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch —
Not the usual way to show you the sketch. Do you notice that I marked the measurements I used n the paper? I typically print the sketch to keep in front of me as I make my card and then recycle. And today the idea struck that I should mark the measurements on the printout and then out all of these in a binder. Whenever I need an idea for making a card, I can just pull out the binder and know just what measurements to use. Wish I had thought of this before!
As a demonstrator I was able to preorder a few items from the new Stampin’ Up! Catalog and I decided to use some for the card. The card features Floral District Designer Series Paper (126919), Summer Starfruit card stock from the 2012-2014 In Colors (assorted pack is item 126838), and the Carry On hostess stamp set (126647). Here’s my creation —
I also incorporated the Brights Collection Buttons (119747), Natural Hemp Twine (which is about to retire), and Early Espresso ink (119670).
The Carry On stamp set has several images that can be mixed and matched…
I elected to mount all pieces I was using to one of my acrylic blocks and stamping just one time. Here is what I mean:
Hope this card idea inspires you!
