Seems that the square card has stuck for this week and used some other sheets from the Floral District Designer Series Paper (available for purchase tomorrow !) and I also used my Beautiful Butterlies Bigz Die again. Definitely loving my Big Shot these days…so easy to use and so many fun shapes to “cut” using it!
Have a fabulous day!
Here is a gift bag that I created using the current Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge design.
This project provides a sneak peek of the Floral District Designer Series Paper and two of the new In Colors for 2012-2014. These products will be available as of June 1 and that means retiring products are only available through May 31!
Hope you will be inspired to create something today!
Our peonies just started blooming today and they are gorgeous! I snipped one to bring in the house and since I happened to be carrying in an empty Starbucks cup from my favorite drink — shaken iced passion tea — I decided to use the cup to hold my peony.
A fabulous way to reuse the container before I recycle it! Perhaps I will inspire you to do the same.
Wishing I could capture the fragrant scent of peony to share with you.
With the school year winding down, I thought it would be fun to make a card that would be perfect as a little thank you for a teacher or bus driver. This week is also a square card. Here are some pictures for you…
Did you notice the natural hemp twine again? Perhaps I felt compelled to use the twine and a few buttons since the twine retires as of May 31.
Hope you are inspired,
For awhile now I have wanted to start watermarking the photos that I place on my blog. Lately I have been using almost exclusively my iPad for blogging so i decided to check the App Store for a watermarking app…I found a few and purchased one of them! It let me customize the text for the watermark to show that the picture belongs to me and also let me know that the stamped images in the photos are the copyright of Stampin’ Up! Now I feel so much more official!
Here are a couple photos that I watermarked after downloading the app. No doubt I will play some with the font style, placement, and color of the watermark…at least I have now gotten started!
Again, enjoy the weekend!
Here is a fun little card I put together using the new “Happy You” hostess stamp set, the New Floral District Designer Series Paper, and not be but two of the new In Colors for 2012-2014. All of these new products will be available beginning on June 1st! The car does include the Marina Mist grosgrain ribbon (120929) which retires on May 31…don’t miss out on this!
Without further ado, here are some photos for you…
Because I was tying the ribbon around such a small strip of paper, I did literally wrap it before tying it and trimming the ends. If the ribbon were to be on a wider area, I would have likely used two pieces and tucked around the edges…I don’t like to waste good ribbon on the back of card stock. There are certainly enough little ends that get snipped and tossed.
Also I went with a square card today and the dimensions are 4.25″ x 4.25″. I chose this size so that I can easily fit it into one of my 4.5″ x 6″ envelopes rather than paying extra postage for a square card.
Have a fabulous weekend!
Today’s stamping inspiration comes in the form of another card made from the same sneak peek supplies as yesterday…just a little less without the buttons or twine!
In order to get the three strips well centered, I first mounted them to another sheet of card stock. In this photo you can get a glimpse at the reverse side of this Designer Series Paper.
Here are some more photos for you…
Hope you are inspired,
