Big Shot Matchboxes

So glad I pulled out my Big Shot last night! After blogging I went back to my stamping zone and used it some more. Tonight I am showing you a fun little matchbox that I made and several options for dressing it up before giving it away. Take a peek…

The first photo is what I started with after using my Big Shot and the Matchbox Die and the second is the assembled matchbox. The possibilities for decorating the matchbox are endless — a few that came to me were using buttons, ribbons (wrapped all the way around to keep box closed or a couple tied so you can slide open without removing the bow), a monogram, or a little tag. The matchbox die actually includes 3 tags. So many possibilities!

You could also certainly mix and match some patterned Designer Series Paper along with the standard card stock to add more interest.

Think how fun these would be as a favor for the next celebration you are hosting! Once you decide on how you want to decorate the matchboxes as favors , it is a breeze to make several. When I tell you it literally takes a few minutes to cut, assemble, and decorate, I mean it. I am all about projects that can be quickly and easily replicated!

Until next time,

Kerry

PS…are you thinking you need a Big Shot? The item # is 113439 and it comes with standard cutting pads and a multipurpose platform so you can start using in with a variety of dies. The matchbox die is item # 114890.
