My Entry for Pals Paper Parts Challenge #131

While this is the Pals Paper Arts (PPA) Challenge #131, it is my 2nd entry for this group. PPA alternates between sketch and color challenges which is nice because it inspires creativity from more than one angle. Here’s what I came up with:

Stamped images c. Stampin' Up!

And the sketch that inspired this is:

PPA131

My ingredients:

  • River Rock Card Stock (1) – item #108640
  • Early Espresso Card Stock (2 & 4) – item # 119686
  • Very Vanilla Card Stock (3) – item # 101650
  • More Mustard Card Stock (3 – frame) – item # 100946
  • Basic Black Classic Stampin’ Pad – item #101179
  • Texture – item # 116685 – this is a jumbo wheel and used with the Stampin’ Around Jumbo Handle – item # 103661 & I used this to create the “texture” on panel 2
  • Zoo Review stamp set – item # 122199
  • You’re My Type stamp set – item # 125650
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals – item # 104430

It is hard to tell in the picture, however, panel 4 which contains the repeated happy birthday sentiment, is raised a bit using the Stampin’ Dimensionals. This is a subtle enhancement to the project and I do not anticipate any impact on postage costs as the profile for the Stampin’ Dimensionsals is very low and they are also quite light.

This card makes a perfect masculine birthday card! By simply changing the More Mustard to a bright shade of pink or purple, this could be a feminine card.

Until next time,

Kerry

  1. Love your clean and simple design!

  2. Thanks Linda! This neutral palette is not one I typically use but it does work well when sticking with a clean and simple design.
