Transformations

It is amazingly easy to transform a product container into a beautiful gift holder, organizer or desk accessory. I’m working ahead on Easter and transformed two empty tea cylinders and a moisturizer jar into three very pretty holders for treats to go into Easter baskets at our house.

Here is how the containers started:

And here is how they look now:

My use of products was very limited:

  • One sheet of 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper – Nursery Nest (item # 122347)
  • A few small lengths of 3/8″ Pleated Ribbon – Pear Pizzazz (item # 125568) and Blushing Bride (item #125570)
  • Sticky Strip (item # 104294)
  • Some empty and clean containers

You will notice that the back right container has two different paper designs…I did not cut and adhere separate sheets, I simply folded over the Designer Series Paper. Part of the beauty of this paper is that it is two sided!

It is important to use Sticky Strip to adhere the paper to the container it is a very strong hold and will hold up for years. I decorated some other containers years ago using Sticky Strips and I have not had the paper pop off those at all.

All of these products (less the containers of course!) are from Stampin’ Up! and you can visit my Stampin’ Up! demonstrator website if you’d like to order any.

Hope you’ll be inspired to decorate some containers of your own! What a great way to re-use or up-cylcle!
