This week’s Mojo Monday is definitely my style…a very straightforward design with no embellishments incorporated. While I sometimes make cards with ribbons, brads, buttons and other embellishments, most often I simply allow the stamps, papers, and inks to speak for themselves. This weeks sketch allowed me to put together in literally just a few minutes; here’s the sketch:
And here is the card that I created:
To create this card, I used the following: Crumb Cake card stock (item# 120953), Lucky Limeade card stock (item #122926), Well Worn Designer Series Paper (item #122359), Not Quite Navy Classic Stampin’ Pad (item #103008), and the polar bear comes from the “Zoo Review” stamp set (item #122199).
Literally, all I had to do was pull out the supplies, trim down the paper, “tip” the edges (much more than I did for my first Mojo Monday entry), stamp the polar bear, and adhere all the paper. Since the the Mojo Monday post for this week included dimensions, I simply worked from those. Could not have been easier to make this card.
There is certainly room for a sentiment up above the polar bear…sometimes when I make cards, I will intentionally leave off a sentiment so that I can add the appropriate message — “happy birthday”, “thank you”, etc. — when I send the card days, weeks or even months later.
