My new blog is up and running! Please stop over to visit me at www.stampgoodness.com — you’ll find my entry for today’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge and much more!
See you over at stampgoodness!
On Monday, I’ll be launching my new blog. I’ve been busy working away on it and look forward to sharing it with you. As with any blog, it will be a work in progress, however, I have chosen Monday as the day for the big reveal!
What can you expect with the new blog?
- A new name and whole new look
- More project ideas, not only for cards but decorative items and 3-d projects as well
- Sketch ideas – no challenges (at least not yet) but some sketches to inspire your card making
- Details on special promotions that Stampin’ Up! is offering and the business opportunity that exists with Stampin’ Up!
Why the new blog? The Stamping ‘Roo has been a wonderful opportunity to learn about blogging and to share some of my projects with you…and now it is time for more! After many, many years of rubber stamping and paper crafting as a hobby, I’m making it a priority to carve out a business path. This new adventure will give me more freedom and flexibility, allow me to interact with others, and share one of my passions with you. I look forward to having you join me on the journey!
Monday is going to be a good day! See you then! ps: Yes, my signature is a reveal for part of the look and feel for my new blog! Can’t wait for you to see it!
Stampin’ Up! is clearing out some retired fabric and you can purchase some for as little at 99 cents! Want to see your choices? Click on over to my demonstrator website and then into the…
Select “All” in the “Show” box under the clearance rack image I’ve shown above and scroll down to see your choices. If you are looking to make some fun holiday gifts, be sure to check out the designer fabrics in the Candy Cane, Deck the Halls, and Holly Berry Designs (this last one is $3.99). Not interested in holiday prints? Take a peek at Springtime Vintage and Sweet Stitches — both would be fabulous for some many projects…perhaps a wreath like I featured recently!
Hurry…at these unbelievably low prices, the fabrics will not last long!
Enjoy your Thursday!
You may recall the “joy…jump for it” sentiment that was printed out with my Halloween images yesterday. Today you can see what I have done with it! The card you are about to see is a hybrid if you will…it combines handcrafting with digital designing. Hopefully you will agree with me that this combination works! Here it is:
Did you notice the third photo? Not so pretty but only you are seeing this, not the card recipient. Okay so the recipient will if she reads this post! I did want to show you this image though and tell you more about it. When I wrapped the ribbon around the back of the sentiment and designer series paper, I need to coax it into the right spot in order to tie the bow in the opposite corner. I used some of my snail adhesive in order to do so. I also applied a little adhesive on the front side in the corners where the ribbon meets the card stock and paper.
Do you ever tie bows on packages the way I have shown on the card? It is the most often used method for me. It is nice because the recipient can easily pull of the ribbon without needing to get out scissors. And I am quite certain this technique uses less ribbon that more traditional crisscrossing ribbon tying does. I also like this method because it is less cumbersome than having to flip over a package when putting on the bow. Now back to the card…
When I was first “building” the card, it did not include the Early Espresso card stock, however when I saw that the ribbon faded away onto the Birds of a Feather Designer Series Paper that I used as the background. The Early Espresso works, however, I think I might have like Soft Suede more. However, I apparently really like Soft Suede and could not so much as find a single sheet or scrap of it anywhere in my crafting space. Time to re-order!

Today is Tuesday and that means it is digital designing day here on my blog! This will be the new regular feature for Tuesdays since Tuesday marks the day each week that Stampin’ Up! releases new digital downloads.
So what have I put together for you? A fun Halloween gift bag and tag idea:
The front for the gift bag is from the Toxic Framable Designer Template (item 128139) and the download costs just $3.95 when you order direct from a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator such as myself. You can easily re-size the image to make it smaller for a card front and/or you can use the individual elements from the design to make cards, decorations, gift tags and more. Do you recognize the “boo” and the jack-o-lantern from the larger image on the gift tag?
Why Halloween today? Because I think Halloween is such a fun holiday! If you love Halloween and stamping, now is definitely the time to consider joining my stamping team. Why you ask? Through the end of this month, Stampin’ Up! is offering a fabulous Halloween project kit to all new demonstrators. It is valued at $60. That means the total value of products when you join this month is up to $185! The new demonstrator kits is just $99 (and ships to you for FREE) and in that kit, you select your choice of up to $125 in products. Check out the kit below.

Now back to today’s project ideas. You’ll notice that I did not simply print Halloween projects. I also took the time to print a couple of images. The “congratulations” image will be going on the front of a card that I am giving with a bridal shower gift and the “joy” will be placed on a card that I am sending to one of my Stampin’ Up! customers. mds 2, also known as my digital studio 2, is so fun and easy to use!

What a fun sketch for today’s Mojo Monday card challenge! I pulled out my Birds of a Feather designer series paper, Pursuit of Happiness stamp set, and a few accessories to put together this card idea for you. Here are some pictures for you…
The ribbon is the 1/8″ taffeta in Marina Mist (119257), the button is tied on with Baker’s Twine in Early Espresso and Whisper White (123124), the button is from the Bright Designer Buttons collection (119747) and I used my Stampin’ Write markers in Night of Navy and Lucky Limeade to color the stamped image. This quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson is perfect for a summer day…or any day really.
Next Monday I will be launching my new blog and I am excited to introduce it to you soon!
